The Lapua 8×57 IS case – versatility for the reloader
The 8×57 IS cartridge, also known as the 7.92 mm Mauser or the 8 mm Mauser, was perhaps the first incarnation of today’s modern sporting and hunting ammunition. The Lapua 8x57mm IS case follows in the usual standards of unmatched quality, using only the finest materials. With cartridge brass blended to exacting specifications and then drawn to precise dimensional standards, the 8x57mm IS case will deliver the same accurate, reliable performance for which Lapua brass is famous for. This means tough, durable cases that will not only withstand repeated loadings, but retain their accuracy shot after shot. Offering very tight tolerances in neck wall concentricity and overall uniformity, for the handloading community the 8×57 IS brass are the perfect choice for getting many of their fine rifles back into the fields again. This addition rounds out Lapua’s line for an incredibly wide array of competitive rifle shooting disciplines and big game hunting.
The Lapua 8x57mm IS case takes the Large Rifle Primer (LRP). It will soon be available in the new cardboard 100 pcs Lapua brass box. The brand new case box has been designed to keep Lapua brass in pristine condition during shipping, ensuring that your reloading experience is on the best level.
Due to the continued high product demand and the prevailing market conditions impacted especially by the Ukraine situation, the availability of some of our products is unfortunately limited and delivery times have become extended. To better serve our civilian and military obligations, some of our components will be temporarily suspended from production, including the Lapua 8x57mm IS. This is due to prioritizing production lines. For our consumer customers, it means that some Lapua products will probably be out of stock in many places in the world for some time to come. This doesn’t mean that we are cancelling any products. It is our intention to resume production of these products as soon as market conditions stabilize. We’re also taking necessary steps at our production sites to improve production capabilities with e.g. new production lines installed during 2023 and 2024. We work as hard as we can every day on all of our sites to produce high-quality ammo and components for you and aim to serve you at normal levels as soon as possible.
